RV camping in the California desert - Part A

The Anza Borrego Desert State Park,
2 hours west of San Diego.
A lot of desert.
Not a lot of people...Actually we didn't see anyone else.
But we did see a big fat hairy spider. A trantula. Really!
Isabella made friends with a cactus.
And learned the true meaning of the word "ouch"!She also got to "help" Antoine set up his telescope.
And then struck out for a walk on her own
- she was fearless!
Time out for breakfast
Followed by a little desert mountain biking...
Our wee "Pebbles," Queen of the desert...

RV Camping in the California desert - Part B

The reason for our trip - to celebrate Papa's birthday!
A midweek swim (and shower) break
- Agua Caliente State Park Hot Springs One very happy camper!Beautiful sunsets...Mom had fun too!
Dinner (& silly) time in the RVNight night Isabella...
Night night desert moon!

RV camping in the California desert - Part C

The best part about camping in the desert? No cell phone coverage!

RV camping in the California desert - Part D (found 'em!)

A few more pics... just located on Antoine's memory card...
And here it is... our proof-positive that we really did have a trantula stop by for a visit (to be honest, it was so big -- 5 inches -- that it wasn't even scary. More kind of cute, in a fuzzy sort of way...:-)
